FULL ALBUM SONGS PLAYABLE BOTTOM OF SCREEN
A WILDFIRE OUT OF CONTROL is here....
The album was recorded as a live performance.
Annee 2CU Blues Band's 4th album is now available for digital downloads. .
We recorded our new album at the Depot Sound Recording Studio. The production was engineered again by Dave Rhodes and he co-produced with Annee. Mastered by Sage Audio Studios, Nashville, USA.
The world radio premiere occurred on Friday 1 June at 6:04am EDT on Cap'n Barney's Mayflower Hill Blues Show, WMHB 89.7fm, Waterville, Maine, USA
“Annee 2CU is a female singer with a big. strong voice, backed here by a six piece band with a nice sixties-ish beat group type of rhythm and blues sound and production, so that piano or organ (try 'Dark Cloud' for a nicely vaguely menacing track) can be the lead instrument in addition to guitar...making this a very interesting and enjoyable release.”
“Can't believe that was a live version, but it is...Absolutely superb, live again, and as I say with this album you wouldn't even know it was a live version so buy the EP; listen to Annee 2CU Blues Band...”
“And she's so very excited...that time still playing her songs but...oh Annee, I think you just deserve it & why not play another one off your lovely album - Against the Wind - yeah an oldie but goldie but very well performed....Ladies and Gentlemen this is the Annee 2CU Blues Band.”
“Pride of Blues Land as well as New Zealand”
“New Zealand's Premier Blues Band”
“...The album is called 'A Wildfire Out of Control'; absolutely great stuff.”
“Now a new release from Annee 2CU is always a treat and this is from her just released album 'A Wildfire Out of Control'. I love this - AGAINST THE WIND”
“And this band also has some sort of weak spot in my heart. Yes, it's Annee 2CU Blues Band and BLUEST BLUE from their new album and...they're from way Down Under...I love to play songs by them every now and then”
“Hi Annee...Hope your weekend went well. I spent part of mine listening to the music you sent over. Love the production ...sounds different to anything else you've done. I really enjoyed the songs. There's much more of you in these recordings than I've heard before ...wonderful. Congratulations to you and all members of the band. ”
“Hi Annee, Really like your latest album! Stand out tracks for me are "Let Me Roll It"...your version is a definite big step up on the Wings recording which was one of McCartney’s better songs… your version lifts the song completely. Very seldom can anyone take a song by a master tunesmith and make into the recording it should have been... absolutely love this track and your vocals!!!! THIS IS THE STANDOUT CUT!... you also nailed another one of their (Lennon & McCartney) tracks too "Oh Darling"!!... "Dark Cloud" also works for me too. It's the moody atmospheric riff orientated songs that work best for you on this album...Congratulations on this release Annee!! Rock On! ”
Dave Curtis and Nigel Bioletti joined the band especially for this recording.
The album was recorded as a live performance within 5 hours - no layering - everybody in the recording room except the saxophone.

“ I didn't have time to get the track into the system by last Tuesday ( :-) ) or I would have played it back then...... Why do we all keep playing Annee L-v ?? 🤔🙄🤗😎 There's got to be a reason..........?”
“You make great music, it deserves to be heard.”
Changes have also occurred in the band since our last recording. Patrick, our bass player, has had major surgery on his shoulder and faces a long rehabilitation. Thank you very much, Patrick for all the hard work and effort you have put into Annee 2CU over the last 7 years - we will miss you.
Bill Farrell kindly joined us on bass. Roger left the band because of time restraints (thanks, Roger) and was replaced by long-time Riverhead Slide drummer, Pete Ludlow for A WILDFIRE OUT OF CONTROL.
“New CD is awesome!!! You rock!”
“Your new album ('A Twist of Blues') is fantastic by the way.”
“Annee 2CU Blues Band's new CD...check it...it's breaking out all over the world”

'Why Annee 2CU Blues Band ? '
Originally the band was called Annee 2CU. The name 2CU comes from when Annee was singing "I Cannot See To See You" & people asked for "Annee, 2CU (To See You) please" & it became naturally the name when the band was being formed. The Blues Band was added in 2011 to emphasis the direction and slant of the band.
WELCOME and thank you for visiting Annee 2CU (Auckland, New Zealand). If you really want a band that plays every song in their own style and produces it live on stage like a studio recording then look no further than Annee 2CU. Annee 2CU is not your standard run-of-the-mill band. The band is a concept band in that we create our own versions mostly with A TWIST OF BLUES.
We perform the spectrum of the blues including: Rhythm & Blues, Country Blues, Louisiana Blues, Swamp Blues, New Orleans Blues, Delta Blues, Chicago Blues and Traditional Blues but especially enjoy playing Soul Blues, Texas Blues, Electric Blues and Blues Rock. Having top musicians, and a strong and versatile vocalist means that we are able to do songs in our own melodic style. Once heard; always remembered.
“Holy Toledo! Your band sounds fantastic!!! …your band is really great---I am a drummer myself …and I have not heard blues played that well since... I dunno... Led Zep or maybe the Butterfield Band or Blues Project! Really great!! ”
“I checked out your site and watched some of your videos. Your band is very awesome. Keep doing a great job performing great music! ”
